Heating & cooling
Comfort, sizing and efficient operation
From $1,000 + GST
Independent, engineering-led energy advice for Tasmanian businesses, clubs and community organisations.
A business energy audit, or a commercial energy audit on a larger site, starts with where the energy goes. We look at what is driving the cost, and which improvements are worth it before you commit to equipment or major works.
Site assessments typically range from $1,000 to $3,000 + GST, depending on the property, available data and level of analysis required.
Multi-site assessments, detailed business cases and implementation support are quoted separately. Travel fees apply outside Greater Hobart.

What You Receive
Depending on the agreed scope, your report may include:
Recommendations are developed around the site’s actual operating requirements, budget and future plans.
Advice is independent. Tasman Energy Advisory does not sell equipment and does not accept commissions or referral payments.
Business & community case study
See how a facility review became a coordinated solar, hot-water, heating and EV charging proposal, with clear costs, forecast savings and funding assumptions.
How It Works
Every engagement is shaped around the property or project, but the approach remains straightforward.
1.
Tell us about your property or project, concerns and goals. We’ll recommend the right service and confirm the scope, information required, timeframe and fee before work begins.
2.
Depending on the service, this may include an on-site inspection, client discussion and review of bills, interval data, plans, equipment or other available evidence.
3.
We bring the evidence together to understand performance, identify opportunities and determine which improvements deserve priority.
4.
Receive clear findings, practical recommendations and a staged path forward. Further advice or implementation support can be provided by arrangement.
The service is suitable for Tasmanian businesses, clubs, community organisations and other premises-based operations.
This may include offices, retail stores, cafés, hospitality venues, tourism and accommodation businesses, clinics, consulting spaces, workshops and community facilities.
Business and community sites vary significantly, so the scope is based on the property, available information and the decisions you need to make.
Targeted site assessments generally start from $1,000 + GST. More detailed reports, multi-site assessments, business cases and implementation support are quoted separately.
Useful information may include:
The exact information required will be confirmed during scoping.
Yes, as a reimbursement, not as a free audit. Eligible Tasmanian small businesses may be able to receive a grant of up to $1,000 toward a qualifying independent energy-efficiency audit through the Tasmanian Government’s PowerSmart for Small Business program.
Eligibility, audit requirements and application conditions apply. Where appropriate, the audit scope can be developed with the program requirements in mind.

Where specialist design, certification or regulated work is required, this will be clearly identified.
